Trinity Buoy Wharf Working Drawing Award 2022 - on show from 8 April to 1 July 2023

Drawing Projects UK is delighted to be able to present the 21 drawings selected for the Trinity Buoy Wharf Working Drawing Award 2022 from 8 April to 1 July 2023.
The Trinity Buoy Wharf Working Drawing Award is a special category within the overall Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize exhibition and awards that celebrates the role of drawing within architecture, design and making. The Working Drawing Award 2022 was selected by Peter Clegg, Architect & Senior Partner, Fielden Clegg Bradley Studios; Niall Hobhouse, Collector, Writer & Trustee, Drawing Matter; Tania Kovats, Artist, Writer, Professor of Drawing & Making and Programme Director of MFA Drawing at Duncan of Jordanstone College of Art & Design at the University of Dundee; and Daniel McAuliffe, Education Director (Hubs) of The Prince’s Foundation. Almost 400 entries by 135 candidates were received for this special category of the Trinity Buoy Wharf Drawing Prize 2022.

The Working Drawing Award, worth £2,000, was award to Gemma Thompson for her graphite drawing, Untitled (Graphic Score for Quartet), 2022 (below). At Arthouse Jersey, Gemma Thompson will be joined by musicians Sam Sherry, Adam Sherry, and Monika Khot to perform her drawing Graphic Score for Quartet on Friday 24 March 2023 at 6pm and we hope to be able to share a recording of this while the Working Drawings are on display at Drawing Projects UK.
The exhibition is installed in the public galleries at Drawing Projects UK and can usually be seen from Tuesday to Saturday, 9am to 3pm.
