On Friday 25 October our Girl Friday Breakfast Club speaker will be Sara Pepper, Director of Creative Economy at Cardiff University.

Sara Pepper took up the newly created role of Director of Creative Economy in July 2014. The purpose of her role is to provide leadership and strategic direction for the creative economy project at Cardiff University. It is her ambition to inspire, encourage and support working relationships across the city through networking, partnership engagement and knowledge exchange which will in turn enable the project to achieve its aims. Sara is currently a member of the British Council UK Hubs Steering Group, the BBC National Orchestra and Chorus of Wales Advisory Group, the Dahl 100 Wales Steering Group and the Cardiff Book Festival Advisory Group.

She has experience in both the creative and higher education sectors working locally, nationally and internationally. She has held a wide variety of posts from producer to project manager for organisations such as the Southbank Centre, the BBC, the Wales Millennium Centre, Hull University School of Arts and New Media and the Sydney Olympic Games 2000.

In 2006 she achieved a Masters Degree in Theatre and Contemporary Practice from Hull University. In 2008 she was the recipient of the first Cultural Leadership Programme Peach Placement in Wales.

The Girl Friday Breakfast Club was established by Kate Reynolds and Anita Taylor to provide a friendly and informal space for women to meet, chat, and support each other. There is no agenda other than hearing from an interesting woman speaker, eating breakfast and drinking great coffee or tea together at Drawing Projects UK on the last Friday of each month from 8:00am to 10:00am.

The ticket price includes your delicious breakfast catered by Miranda's coffee shop. Miranda caters for gluten-free and vegan-friendly guests too. Please book your Girl Friday Breakfast in advance, so we know how many to cater for!

All women, and those who identify as women, are very welcome to join the Girl Friday Breakfast Club.
