Trowbridge Poetry Stanza: Guest Poets + open-mic on 7 September

On Saturday 7 September, the Trowbridge Poetry Society Stanza is looking forward to welcoming Kathy Pimlott (published by The Emma Press) and David Clarke (published by Flarestack and Nine Arches Press) to read, and there will be an open-mic, so please bring your poems to read too.

The Trowbridge Poetry Society Stanza meets on the first Saturday of each month between 2pm and 4pm at Drawng Projects UK. Poetry Society Stanzas are poetry groups run voluntarily by members of The Poetry Society.  Trowbridge Stanza is a friendly group, a mixture of published and unpublished poets.  We read and talk about contemporary poetry, read and comment on each other’s work in progress, organise open-mic events and guest readers, and we perform our work at different venues.

The Trowbridge Stanza is coordinated by Josephine Corcoran, who lives in Wiltshire, where she is involved in schools and community literature projects. Her work as a playwright and short story writer has been broadcast on BBC R4 and she has had a stage play produced in London. Her poetry pamphlet 'The Misplaced House' was published in the UK by tall-lighthouse (November 2014) and a full collection 'What Are You After?' was published by Nine Arches Press in June 2018. She is founder and editor of And Other Poems (www.andotherpoems.com).

Everyone is welcome to join in. Tickets are £5, at the door.
